What Is the Economy Hajj Package?

The Economy Hajj Package (also called the General Private Package) is the minimum-tier private Hajj package permitted in Bangladesh, as set by the Ministry of Religious Affairs. It meets every mandatory requirement issued by the Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah.

Under the HAB framework for 2027, the Economy Package includes a 3-star hotel within 3 kilometres of Masjid al-Haram in Makkah, accommodation within 1 kilometre of Masjid an-Nabawi in Madinah, Zone-5 tent in Mina, meals in Mina and Arafat under Service Package-3, Salawat bus service, and a Bengali-speaking guide. It does not include premium hotel upgrades, private transport, or air-conditioned VIP tents in Mina.

It is the honest choice for a pilgrim who understands that Hajj is an act of worship, not a luxury trip. The rituals are exactly the same regardless of which hotel you stay in. The Day of Arafah is equally powerful whether you arrive by Salawat bus or private vehicle.

Budget is not a barrier to Hajj. The Economy Package is a fully valid and complete Hajj arrangement under official Bangladesh Hajj guidelines. Many of the most spiritually fulfilling Hajj journeys are performed on this tier.

    Hotel Arrangements — Economy Package

    Makkah Hotel

Economy Package pilgrims stay in a 3-star hotel within 3 kilometres of Masjid al-Haram. Room sharing is up to 6 pilgrims per room as per Ministry of Religious Affairs guidelines. If the hotel is located more than 2 kilometres from the Haram, Salawat bus service is mandatory and is included in the package.

All hotels used by UmrahLovers meet basic comfort and hygiene standards. Air conditioning, clean bathrooms, and hot water are standard across all properties used, regardless of tier.

    Madinah Hotel

In Madinah, Economy Package pilgrims stay within 1 kilometre of Masjid an-Nabawi. This is the government-set maximum distance for private package standard accommodation. The stay is typically 7 nights, timed around your Madinah visit before or after the main Hajj days.

    Mina Tent (Hajj Days)

During the Hajj days from 8 to 12 Dhul Hijjah, pilgrims stay in the tent city of Mina. Economy Package pilgrims are allocated Zone-5 tents. Tents are shared among the group and include basic bedding. Meals are provided through the authorised Moallem under Service Package-3, which covers standard catering during the Hajj period.

Zone-5 in Mina is a legitimate and valid tent zone. The rituals of Hajj, including the stoning of the Jamarat, are the same for all pilgrims regardless of which tent zone they are in. Transport between zones is managed by the Salawat bus system.

Who Should Choose the Economy Hajj Package?

The Economy Hajj Package is the right choice in the following situations.

You want to fulfil your Farz without overspending

Hajj is obligatory. Spending beyond your means to get a closer hotel does not change the validity or reward of your Hajj. If BDT 5,13,545 is the right amount for your situation, this package delivers a complete and valid Hajj.

You are in good health and comfortable walking

Economy Package hotels may be further from the Haram than premium tiers. If you are fit and healthy, the walk or bus ride is manageable. Pilgrims who need to minimise walking should consider the General or VIP packages where hotels are closer.

You are traveling as part of a community or mosque group

Economy packages are well-suited for groups. Shared rooms and group transport bring costs down for everyone. The spirit of Hajj is also deeply communal. Sharing a tent and a meal with fellow pilgrims from Bangladesh is part of the experience.

You have already performed Umrah and are familiar with the Holy sites

If you have been to Makkah before for Umrah, you already know the layout. You are less likely to feel disoriented by a hotel that is not directly adjacent to the Haram. Your focus will be the Hajj rituals, not finding your way around.

How to Register for the Economy Hajj Package 2027

Step 1 — Complete Hajj Pre-Registration (Open Now)

Hajj pre-registration 2027 in Bangladesh is open from 26 July 2026 to 26 September 2026. Pay the BDT 30,000 government e-Hajj token through a licensed Hajj agency like UmrahLovers or through a government registration centre. You receive a serial number immediately after payment. This serial number determines your priority when final Hajj seats are allocated.

Pre-registration remains valid for two consecutive years. If you do not receive a seat for 2027, your registration carries forward to 2028 with priority.

Step 2 — Confirm Your Package Selection

Contact UmrahLovers to confirm the Economy Package. We issue a written package confirmation showing hotel name, hotel distance, tent zone, transport details, price breakdown, and all inclusions before any payment beyond the pre-registration fee is taken.

Step 3 — Submit Your Documents

Submit your passport, NID copy, photographs, and medical fitness certificate. Meningitis vaccination is mandatory. Our team handles all documentation, visa application, and Saudi e-Hajj system registration on your behalf.

Step 4 — Attend Manasik Training

All UmrahLovers Hajj pilgrims attend a pre-departure Manasik training session in Dhaka. This covers every ritual of Hajj in correct order, the duas for each stage, health advice for Saudi Arabia in May, crowd management at the Jamarat, and what to do if separated from the group.

Step 5 — Depart and Perform Hajj

Our team meets you at the airport in Dhaka and our ground support team in Makkah is available throughout your stay. After the Hajj rituals, we coordinate your return journey and confirm your safe arrival back in Bangladesh.

    FREQUENTLY ASKED

Frequently Asked Questions — Cheapest Hajj Package Bangladesh 2027

What is the cheapest Hajj package price from Bangladesh in 2027?

The cheapest official private Hajj package price from Bangladesh in 2027 is BDT 5,13,545 per person, as confirmed by the Hajj Agencies Association of Bangladesh (HAB) on July 21, 2026. This Economy Package includes return airfare, Hajj visa, hotel in Makkah and Madinah, Mina tent, meals in Mina and Arafat, transport, Bengali-speaking guide, and mandatory health insurance. Qurbani is not included.

Is the cheapest Hajj package a complete and valid Hajj?

Yes. The Economy Hajj Package meets every requirement set by the Bangladesh Ministry of Religious Affairs and Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah. All Hajj rituals are performed in full. The rituals of Hajj, including Wuquf at Arafah, stoning of the Jamarat, and Tawaf al-Ifadah, are identical regardless of which package tier you choose. A pilgrim in Zone-5 tent performs the exact same Hajj as a pilgrim in a VIP tent.

What is the difference between the economy Hajj package and the government Hajj package?

The government’s minimum Hajj Package-2 is priced at BDT 5,05,648 and is managed directly by the Ministry of Religious Affairs with fixed hotel and service allocations. The private Economy Package from agencies like UmrahLovers is BDT 5,13,545 and offers a more personalised service, dedicated Bengali-speaking guide, and direct support from your agency before, during, and after Hajj. Both are fully valid and official.

Does the economy Hajj package include flights?

A: Yes. All Hajj packages from Bangladesh include return airfare as a mandatory component. For 2027, the Bangladesh government has reduced the Hajj airfare to BDT 1,30,000 per person, a reduction of BDT 24,830 from the previous year. Flights operate on Biman Bangladesh Airlines and Saudia from Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka.

How many nights in Makkah and Madinah does the economy package include?

A: The Economy Hajj Package from Bangladesh typically includes approximately 26 nights in Makkah and 7 nights in Madinah, for a total stay of 30 to 40 days in Saudi Arabia. The exact number of nights depends on your departure date, group allocation, and Saudi Hajj schedule.

What is a Zone-5 tent in Mina?

A: Mina is the tent city where Hajj pilgrims stay during the Hajj days. The Saudi authorities divide tents into zones based on proximity and service level. Zone-5 is the standard zone allocated under the Economy Package. Tents are air-conditioned, shared among the group, and include basic bedding and meal service under Service Package-3. All pilgrims in Mina perform the same rituals regardless of zone.

Can a woman travel for Hajj on the economy package without a mahram?

Under current Saudi regulations, women aged 45 and above may travel for Hajj in an authorised group without a mahram. Women under 45 are generally required to travel with a male mahram. These regulations may be updated before 2027 final registration. UmrahLovers advises each female pilgrim individually based on her specific situation and the most current Saudi guidelines.

How early should I register for the Hajj 2027 economy package?

Register as early as possible. Hajj 2027 pre-registration in Bangladesh is open from 26 July 2026 to 26 September 2026 on a first-come, first-served basis. Hajj seats from Bangladesh are strictly quota-limited by Saudi Arabia. The earlier your serial number, the better your priority for final seat allocation. Waiting until close to the deadline significantly reduces your chances of securing a place.

What is not included in the cheapest Hajj package?

The Economy Hajj Package does not include Qurbani (the Hajj sacrifice, payable in Saudi Arabia at approximately SAR 700 to 800 per person), personal spending money, room upgrades, optional Ziyarah tours beyond the standard itinerary, laundry services, mobile data, or any personal medical expenses beyond the mandatory Saudi health insurance.

Can I upgrade from the economy package to a higher tier later?

Yes. If your circumstances change after pre-registration, you can upgrade to the General or VIP Hajj Package before final registration is confirmed. Speak to your UmrahLovers consultant about upgrading. The price difference between tiers will apply. Downgrading after final confirmation may be subject to cancellation terms.

Does UmrahLovers offer installment payment for the Hajj package?

Contact our team to discuss payment schedule options. A structured payment plan can be arranged to spread the cost between now and the final payment deadline. The BDT 30,000 pre-registration fee is the first payment. The remaining balance is paid in stages as confirmed by the Ministry of Religious Affairs payment timeline.
