Why Bangladeshi Muslim Newlyweds Choose Umrah as Their First Journey Together

The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) said that when a person marries, they have completed half of their deen. Beginning that new half of one’s deen with a journey to the house of Allah is not a travel trend. It is a spiritual decision that Bangladeshi Muslim couples and their families understand at a level that no ordinary honeymoon destination can match.

When a husband and wife stand before the Kaaba together for the first time as a married couple and make niyyah for Umrah together, something happens in that moment that they will carry into every difficulty and every blessing of their marriage. They have begun with Allah. They have placed their new life in His hands before anything else. The memories formed in Makkah and Madinah in those first days of marriage are not ordinary memories. They are anchored to the most sacred places on earth.

There is a spiritual dimension to Sa’i between Safa and Marwah that speaks directly to a new marriage. Hajar (AS), the wife of the Prophet Ibrahim (AS), ran between these two hills in search of water for her infant son Ismail (AS), placing complete trust in Allah when there was no visible source of help. The lesson that Sa’i carries for a newly married couple is quiet and profound: support each other through the hardships of life, just as she ran. Trust Allah when the path is not clear. This is not a travel package insight. It is a spiritual foundation for a marriage.

From Md. Nasir Uddin Rejon, Founder and CEO of UmrahLovers

I have arranged Umrah for newly married Bangladeshi couples for many years. The couples who return from a honeymoon Umrah are different from those who went. Not in any dramatic way. In a quiet way. They have a shared reference point for their marriage that is unlike any other. When they face difficulty in the years ahead, they can say to each other: 'We began at the Kaaba. We began with Allah.' That is something no other first trip together can give.

What Is a Couple Umrah Package from Bangladesh?

A honeymoon umrah package from Bangladesh is not a standard Umrah package with a couple placed in a shared room with strangers. It is an Umrah arrangement built entirely around two people: a married couple beginning their life together. Every practical arrangement reflects this.

The most important difference is the room. UmrahLovers’ honeymoon Umrah packages are priced for private double rooms. The couple stays together, privately, in their own room near Masjid al-Haram. They are not placed in quad sharing with three other pilgrims they do not know. A newly married couple performing Umrah deserves this privacy, and it is included in the package price from BDT 1,15,500 per person.

The second difference is the vehicle. All transfers in our honeymoon package use a private vehicle for the couple only. Not a shared bus with other groups. The couple travels from King Abdulaziz International Airport, Jeddah to their hotel in Makkah privately. The intercity transfer from Makkah to Madinah is private. They travel at their own pace, without being dependent on a group schedule.

What makes this package specifically for newly married couples

Private double room in Makkah and Madinah at 4 to 5-star hotel. Not quad sharing.

Private vehicle for all transfers. Airport to hotel, Makkah to Madinah, and return. The couple travels alone.

Hotel selection prioritises proximity to Masjid al-Haram. For a couple's first Umrah together, we recommend the Superior tier at 100 to 150 metres or the Deluxe tier at 200 to 250 metres.

Dedicated guide who understands this is the couple's first Umrah together. The pace is set around them, not around a large group.

Private Ziyarah in Makkah and Madinah by private vehicle. The couple's schedule, not a bus timetable.

Guidance on making du'a together at the Kaaba and at Masjid an-Nabawi for the marriage, for children, and for the life ahead. Our guide understands the spiritual significance of this moment for a newly married couple.

Pre-departure couple briefing at our Dhaka office covering Umrah rituals step by step, Ihram requirements for husband and wife, Tawaf and Sa'i, Nusuk app Rawdah slot booking, and practical guidance for the trip.

24-hour Mecca office support at Hujra Street, Mecca, Saudi Arabia 24231 throughout the stay.

Premium Umrah Hotels in Madinah — VIP Options from Bangladesh

Madinah’s luxury hotel landscape is different from Makkah. The area around Masjid an-Nabawi has been extensively developed but the concentration of internationally branded 5-star properties within 200 metres of the Prophet’s mosque is smaller than in Makkah. UmrahLovers works with two properties in Madinah that we have verified for VIP pilgrim use.

    Anantara Madinah

Distance from Masjid an-Nabawi: 200 to 300 metres from Masjid an-Nabawi  |  Star rating: 5-star luxury

Anantara Madinah is one of the most refined luxury properties in Al Madinah Al Munawwarah, offering the branded Anantara spa experience alongside rooms and suites designed for pilgrims who want genuine comfort after long hours of worship at Masjid an-Nabawi. The hotel provides private airport transfers, a fitness centre, and multiple dining options including halal cuisine. For Bangladeshi pilgrims finishing 4 to 8 nights at a Makkah VIP property, Anantara offers a similarly elevated experience in Madinah.

Ideal for: Pilgrims who want a consistent 5-star luxury experience in both holy cities. Those who value branded hotel service and wellness facilities.

    Oberoi Madinah

    Distance from Masjid an-Nabawi: 200 to 300 metres from Masjid an-Nabawi  |  Star rating: 5-star ultra-luxury

The Oberoi Madinah is among the most exclusive properties in the city, known for its refined rooms, attentive service, and quiet atmosphere designed for pilgrims who want privacy and calm after the intensity of the Haram. Oberoi properties globally are recognised for their understated luxury and high staff-to-guest ratios. The Madinah property carries this standard and is suitable for pilgrims who prioritise quiet, personalised service and a serene environment during their time in Al Madinah Al Munawwarah.

Ideal for: Pilgrims seeking the most private and quiet Madinah experience. Those for whom understated refinement is more important than branded prestige.

Notes: All prices are per person for husband and wife in a private double room. Madinah hotel is at the same tier as Makkah. Breakfast is included in all tiers listed above. A direct Saudia or Biman Bangladesh Airlines flight upgrade costs an additional BDT 12,000 to 15,000 per person. The BDT 1,15,500 starting price applies to the 7-day Deluxe tier. All confirmed prices are in BDT per person at the time of booking, subject to seasonal hotel rate variation.

Why we recommend the Deluxe or Superior tier for a honeymoon Umrah package

For a newly married couple performing their first Umrah together, the distance from the hotel to Masjid al-Haram changes the entire experience. At 200 to 250 metres (Deluxe tier), the couple can walk to every prayer without exhaustion and return to their room between prayers. At 100 to 150 metres (Superior tier), the Kaaba is visible from some rooms and the walk to the Haram takes less than 3 minutes. The BDT 1,15,500 Standard tier is not listed for the honeymoon package because the Standard 3-star hotel at 350 to 500 metres is not the right setting for a newly married couple's first days together in the holy city. We are honest about this.

The Spiritual Meaning of Each Umrah Ritual for a Newly Married Couple

Umrah is a complete act of worship with spiritual meaning at every stage. For a newly married couple performing it together for the first time, each ritual carries a particular resonance that goes beyond the ritual itself.

Ihram — entering a state of intention together

Ihram is the sacred state entered before performing Umrah. The husband wears two white, unstitched cloths. The wife wears her normal modest clothing. Both make niyyah (intention) together: 'O Allah, I intend to perform Umrah. Make it easy for me and accept it from me.' When a husband and wife make this intention side by side for the first time as a married couple, they are placing the beginning of their life together in the hands of Allah before the journey even begins. The simplicity of Ihram — the stripping away of all markers of status, wealth, and worldly identity — is a powerful beginning for a marriage.

Tawaf — circling the Kaaba together

Tawaf is the seven circuits of the Kaaba at Masjid al-Haram. As husband and wife walk together around the house of Allah, they join the continuous circle of Muslims who have performed this act since the time of the Prophet Ibrahim (AS). The Black Stone, al-Hajar al-Aswad, is touched or pointed to at the start of each circuit. The du'a made during Tawaf is personal and unrestricted — there is no fixed formula beyond the Talbiyah. For a newly married couple, this is the moment to ask Allah for everything: a righteous marriage, righteous children, barakah in the home, and steadfastness in the deen. These du'as, made in motion around the Kaaba, carry a weight that no du'a made anywhere else carries.

Sa'i — the faith of Hajar (AS), a lesson for every marriage

Sa'i is the seven circuits between Safa and Marwah, performed after Tawaf. It commemorates the action of Hajar (AS), the wife of Ibrahim (AS), who ran between these two hills in the valley of Makkah searching for water for her infant son Ismail (AS). She ran with complete trust in Allah when there was no visible means of help. Water appeared — the spring of Zamzam, which flows to this day beneath Masjid al-Haram. The lesson Sa'i carries for a newly married couple is direct and timeless: marriage will bring moments when the path is not clear, when the provision is not visible, when the effort seems disproportionate to the result. The faith that Hajar (AS) demonstrated — continuous action combined with complete trust in Allah — is the foundation of a strong marriage. Walking this path together in Sa'i for the first time as husband and wife is not coincidental. It is instructive.

Ziyarah — standing together at the places that matter

The guided Ziyarah in Makkah takes the couple to the Cave of Hira at Jabal al-Noor, where the first revelation of the Quran was received by the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) through the Angel Jibril (AS). It takes them to Masjid al-Ji'ranah, where the Prophet (PBUH) wore Ihram for his last Umrah. It takes them to Jannatul Muallah, the cemetery where Khadijah (RA), the first wife of the Prophet (PBUH) and one of the most significant women in Islamic history, is buried. For a newly married couple, the Ziyarah is also a history lesson about what a marriage can be. In Madinah, the couple visits Masjid an-Nabawi and sends salutations to the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) at the Roza Mubarak. They visit Masjid Quba, where the Prophet (PBUH) laid the foundation of the first mosque in Islam. They visit Jannat al-Baqi, where many of the Prophet's Companions (RA) and family members are buried. At each of these sites, the guide explains the Islamic significance in Bengali. The couple offers two Rak'ahs at Masjid Quba — which carries the reward of an Umrah according to a narration in Sahih Bukhari.

Practical Guidance for Couples Performing Umrah from Bangladesh

For many Bangladeshi newlyweds, this is their first Umrah. The practical questions are real and we answer them here.

Ihram for husband and wife — what each person wears

For Ihram, the husband wears two white unstitched cloths: one wrapped around the waist and one draped over the upper body. The head is left uncovered. The husband must not wear stitched garments, cover his head, use scented products, cut hair or nails, or engage in marital relations while in the state of Ihram. The wife wears her normal modest clothing for Ihram. There is no specific Ihram garment for women. The face and hands remain uncovered during Tawaf and Sa'i. The wife is also in the state of Ihram and observes the same restrictions on scented products, cutting hair or nails, and marital relations while in the Ihram state until Taqsir is performed after Sa'i.

Islamic etiquette for couples at Masjid al-Haram and Masjid an-Nabawi

Masjid al-Haram and Masjid an-Nabawi are sacred spaces that require a particular standard of conduct. Couples should maintain modest behaviour at all times. Public displays of physical affection are not appropriate within or immediately around either mosque. This is not a cultural restriction unique to Saudi Arabia. It is a reflection of the sacred nature of the space itself. UmrahLovers advises every couple to enter the holy cities with the intention of worship and to allow that intention to guide all conduct.

Visiting the Rawdah at Masjid an-Nabawi

The Rawdah al-Sharif — the area between the Prophet Muhammad's (PBUH) grave and his pulpit at Masjid an-Nabawi — has separate visiting hours for men and women. Husband and wife visit at different times. Visiting the Rawdah requires a slot booking through the Nusuk app before your visit. UmrahLovers provides full guidance on booking Nusuk Rawdah slots for both husband and wife before departure from Bangladesh.

Making du'a together for your marriage

There is no specific prescribed du'a for a new marriage at the Kaaba. What the Kaaba offers is a place where du'a is answered — the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) described certain moments during Tawaf and at the Multazam (the area between the Black Stone and the door of the Kaaba) as among the best times for du'a. During Tawaf, ask Allah for what you need for your marriage: love, mercy, patience, barakah, righteous children, and steadfastness in the deen. During Sa'i, ask again. In front of the Roza Mubarak in Madinah, send salutations and make du'a. Our guide will tell you about these moments before you arrive at each one. You will not reach the Kaaba unprepared.

    WHY CHOOSE

Why Choose UmrahLovers for Your Honeymoon Umrah from Bangladesh?

This is your first trip together as husband and wife. Possibly the first time either of you has performed Umrah. Choosing the right agency for this particular journey matters more than for any other kind of trip. Here is why UmrahLovers is the right choice.

We are present in Mecca, Saudi Arabia when you arrive

Our office at Hujra Street, Mecca, Saudi Arabia 24231 means our team is already there when your flight lands at King Abdulaziz International Airport. A newly married couple arriving in Jeddah for the first time, in Ihram, with the intention of performing Umrah together, should not have to figure out the airport alone. Our Mecca team meets you, places you in your private vehicle, and confirms your hotel is ready. If anything requires attention during your stay, someone is physically present in Saudi Arabia to handle it.

IATA accredited and HAAB member — verified credentials

UmrahLovers holds IATA (International Air Transport Association) accreditation and is a registered member of HAAB (Hajj Agencies Association of Bangladesh). For newlyweds and their families who are trusting an agency with this particular journey, these credentials are independently verifiable. They confirm that UmrahLovers meets international and national regulatory standards for Umrah and travel operations. Any family asking their son or daughter's Umrah agency for credentials should expect both HAAB membership and IATA accreditation.

5.0 Google rating across 1,000+ pilgrim journeys

Our 5.0 Google rating, confirmed by Trustindex as Top Rated Service 2026, is maintained across every type of pilgrim we have served — including newly married couples. Honest pricing with no hidden costs — in writing before you pay

The price per person in double sharing, the hotel name, the distance from Masjid al-Haram, and every inclusion and exclusion is in the written confirmation. A newly married couple making a significant financial decision deserves complete transparency. We never change a price after issuing a written quote.

What Newly Married Couples Say About Their Umrah with UmrahLovers

“We performed Umrah together 11 days after our nikah. I cannot describe what it felt like to stand before the Kaaba for the first time as husband and wife and make niyyah together. Our guide had explained what to expect at each stage before we arrived, so we were not confused or rushed. The hotel was 200 metres from Masjid al-Haram. We walked to every prayer together. UmrahLovers arranged everything we needed. The only thing they could not arrange is the feeling of making that first Tawaf together — but they gave us every condition that made it possible.”

“Our families had concerns about whether Makkah was the right place for a honeymoon. After we returned, those concerns were gone. Alhamdulillah we began our marriage with the best possible beginning. The room was private and close to the Haram. The guide was knowledgeable and respectful — he understood this was our first Umrah. When we performed Sa’i and the guide explained the story of Hajar (RA), I looked at my wife and we both understood something about marriage that we could not have understood in words alone. We will return for our first child’s Umrah one day, insha Allah.”

UmrahLovers answered every question — from our parents and from us — with patience and complete honesty. The written confirmation showed exactly what was included and what was not. The Mecca office number was shared before we left Bangladesh. When we arrived in Jeddah late at night, the team was there. We were never in a situation where we did not know what to do next. May Allah reward this agency and accept our Umrah.”

    FREQUENTLY ASKED

Honeymoon Umrah Package Bangladesh — Frequently Asked Questions

A honeymoon Umrah package from Bangladesh is an Umrah arrangement specifically designed for newly married couples. UmrahLovers’ honeymoon packages include a private double room for the couple in a 4 to 5-star hotel near Masjid al-Haram in Makkah, private vehicle for all transfers (not a shared bus), dedicated Umrah guide for the couple, private Ziyarah by private vehicle in Makkah and Madinah, breakfast included, and 24-hour Mecca office support at Hujra Street, Mecca, Saudi Arabia 24231. Packages start from BDT 1,15,500 per person.

Yes. There is no Islamic restriction on a married couple performing Umrah together. In fact, beginning a marriage with Umrah at Masjid al-Haram is a spiritually significant act. Husband and wife perform Tawaf in the same Mataf area at Masjid al-Haram and Sa’i in the same Mas’a corridor. They stand at the same Islamic sites during Ziyarah and make du’a together at the Kaaba. The only separation is at the Rawdah in Masjid an-Nabawi, which has separate visiting hours for men and women and requires individual Nusuk app slot bookings.

UmrahLovers’ honeymoon Umrah packages start from BDT 1,15,500 per person in a private double room for the 7-day Deluxe tier, with the hotel at 200 to 250 metres from Masjid al-Haram. Superior tier packages (100 to 150 metres from Haram) and Premium tier (0 to 20 metres) are available at higher prices confirmed at time of booking. All prices include Saudi Umrah visa for both husband and wife, return flights from Dhaka, hotel, breakfast, private vehicle transfers, dedicated guide, and Ziyarah.

While in the state of Ihram, both husband and wife must avoid: using scented products (perfume, scented soap), cutting hair or nails, and marital relations. The husband must not wear stitched garments or cover his head. The wife wears her normal modest clothing with face and hands uncovered during Tawaf and Sa’i. These restrictions apply from the moment Ihram is entered at the Miqat until Taqsir (for the wife) or Halq or Taqsir (for the husband) is performed after Sa’i. For specific fiqh questions, consult your trusted imam before travel.

Yes. All UmrahLovers honeymoon Umrah packages are priced for a private double room for husband and wife only. This is the key difference between the honeymoon package and a standard package (which uses quad sharing with four pilgrims per room). The private double room at the 4 to 5-star hotel is confirmed in your written quote before any payment is made. The room assignment and hotel name are stated in the confirmation document.

For a newly married couple’s first Umrah, UmrahLovers recommends the Deluxe tier at 200 to 250 metres from Masjid al-Haram (Emaar Al Sultan or similar) as the minimum, with the Superior tier at 100 to 150 metres (Al Shohada Hotel or similar) as the recommended choice where the budget allows. The closer the hotel, the more prayers the couple can attend at the Haram and the more time they have for worship rather than walking. Breakfast is included at both tiers.

Yes. Husband and wife perform Tawaf in the same open Mataf area around the Kaaba at Masjid al-Haram. There is no gender separation during Tawaf. Both husband and wife walk the seven circuits together. The guide accompanies both and coordinates timing to perform Tawaf in the quieter morning window after Fajr, when crowds are more manageable. Husband and wife also walk Sa’i between Safa and Marwah together in the same Mas’a corridor.

For a couple’s Saudi Umrah visa from Bangladesh, UmrahLovers requires: valid passports for both husband and wife (minimum 6 months remaining), recent passport-size photographs for both, nikah certificate (marriage certificate, required to confirm the couple relationship for the booking), and the package booking confirmation. We process both visas simultaneously and return them together. Standard processing: 1 to 3 working days. See our full Umrah visa guide for the complete checklist.

Yes. UmrahLovers arranges an Umrah plus Dubai tour package that combines Umrah in Makkah and Madinah with a Dubai stopover in a single 12 to 14-day trip from BDT 40,000.
