Why Perform Umrah as a Family Group or Community from Bangladesh?

There is a particular quality to performing Umrah with people you know. When a mosque group arrives at Masjid al-Haram together and begins Tawaf as one community, the experience is different from arriving alone. The imam who has taught the congregation for years now leads them around the Kaaba. The families who pray together in Dhaka now pray together in Makkah. These shared moments do not diminish the personal nature of the worship. They deepen it.

From a practical standpoint, a group umrah from Bangladesh also makes sense. Group pricing from agencies like UmrahLovers is lower per person than individual packages. A shared private bus between the airport and hotel is more comfortable than individual taxis. A single Bengali-speaking guide who knows your group’s needs is more effective than general hotel guides who serve everyone and no one specifically.

UmrahLovers has arranged group umrah packages for mosque congregations, madrasa groups, corporate groups, extended families, and community organisations across Bangladesh since our founding. We understand that the group leader, often an imam or mosque secretary, carries the weight of responsibility for every person in that group. Our job is to remove every logistical concern so that responsibility becomes lighter.

Umrah Group Booking from Bangladesh — Who Should Consider This Package?

If you are deciding between the most affordable option and a standard package, this table gives you a direct comparison.

    Mosque and Masjid Groups

The most common group umrah from Bangladesh is a mosque congregation traveling together. The imam or mosque secretary typically organises the booking and acts as the group leader in Saudi Arabia. UmrahLovers coordinates directly with the group leader for all bookings, documentation, and pre-departure briefing. We arrange for the group to perform Tawaf together where possible and for the guide to be available during all key ritual moments. Mosque groups typically range from 15 to 60 persons.

    Extended Family Groups

Many Bangladeshi families choose to perform Umrah together as a family obligation, often when a senior family member has decided it is time for the whole family to make the journey together. These groups typically range from 10 to 25 persons and include children, elderly members, and family members from multiple cities. UmrahLovers arranges hotel rooms to accommodate families and ensures elderly members are placed in the closest available hotel to Masjid al-Haram within the group's chosen tier.

    Madrasa and Islamic Education Groups

Students and teachers from madrasas and Islamic education institutions often travel for Umrah as part of a spiritual education programme. These groups benefit from our Umrah training and Ziyarah guide who has specific knowledge of the historical and Islamic significance of each site. The guide we assign to madrasa groups is always an experienced, qualified imam who can provide scholarly context at each Ziyarah site.

    Corporate and Professional Groups

Some Bangladeshi companies and professional organisations arrange Umrah as a collective spiritual benefit for their Muslim employees. These groups benefit from the group pricing, the private bus arrangements, and the coordinated hotel block that keeps colleagues together throughout the trip.

    Community Organisation Groups

Welfare organisations, NGOs with Muslim leadership, and community associations from Dhaka, Chittagong, and Sylhet regularly arrange group umrah through UmrahLovers. We handle all visa processing collectively, coordinating submissions in batches so the entire group's visas are processed and returned at the same time.

    How group pricing works

The BDT 50,000 starting price per person applies to groups of 10 or more traveling on the Standard 3-star hotel tier. This is the lowest entry point for a complete group umrah package from Bangladesh, covering visa, flights, hotel, private group bus, and guide. Groups of 20 or more can access better rates. Groups of 40 or more qualify for our best available pricing. The larger the group, the more we can negotiate on hotel block rates in Makkah and Madinah. Contact our Dhaka office with your group size and we will give you a confirmed quote within 24 hours.

How Your Family Group or Community Umrah Works on the Ground

Managing a group of 10 to 60 Bangladeshi pilgrims in Makkah and Madinah is a very different task from individual travel. Below is an honest account of how the logistics work, based on 15 years of UmrahLovers arranging group umrah from Bangladesh.

    Airport arrival in Jeddah

Your group arrives at King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah. Our Mecca office team is at the arrivals hall to meet the group leader. There is no period where your group stands waiting without knowing what to do next. Our team handles the transition from the airport to your private group bus immediately. The bus takes the entire group directly to your hotel in Makkah with no stops or transfers through other hotels.

    Performing Tawaf as a group

Tawaf at Masjid al-Haram is possible as a group but requires careful timing. The Haram is always crowded and groups larger than 15 to 20 cannot realistically stay together throughout the seven circuits. Our guide coordinates the group to enter together, establishes a meeting point near Bab al-Salam or Bab al-Umrah, and keeps the group in visual range throughout Tawaf. After completing Tawaf, the group reunites before Sa'i. This approach has worked for every group we have guided over 15 years.

    Hotel Arrangements in Makkah

For groups of 10 to 20 persons, we typically arrange a hotel block in a single property. For groups of 30 or more, we sometimes use adjacent hotels within the same tier and walking distance. Every member of the group receives a hotel card, the local phone number for the Mecca office, and an emergency WhatsApp group is created for the group leader and UmrahLovers' Mecca team contact. No group member should ever be in a situation where they do not know who to call.

    Makkah Ziyarah for the Group

The guided Ziyarah tour of Makkah takes the group to the Cave of Hira at Jabal al-Noor, Masjid al-Ji'ranah where the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) wore Ihram for his last Umrah, the site of the Prophet's birthplace near Suq al-Layl, Jannatul Muallah cemetery, and Masjid al-Jinn. These sites are arranged in a single day's tour by private group bus. The guide explains the Islamic significance of each site in Bengali.

    Transfer from Makkah to Madinah

The group travels from Makkah to Madinah by private group AC bus (approximately 4 to 5 hours). UmrahLovers does not mix groups from different tours. Your group has the bus to itself for the entire journey. We depart at a time that allows the group to arrive in Madinah and settle before Asr or Maghrib prayer at Masjid an-Nabawi.

    Madinah Ziyarah for the Group

The Madinah Ziyarah covers: Masjid an-Nabawi and the Roza Mubarak, Masjid Quba (the first mosque in Islam, where two Rak'ahs carry the reward of Umrah as narrated in Sahih Bukhari), Masjid al-Qiblatain, Jannat al-Baqi cemetery of the Companions (RA), Masjid al-Ghamama where the Prophet (PBUH) led Eid prayers, and the site of the Battle of Uhud. Our guide provides commentary on each location in Bengali, and the group imam is encouraged to lead supplications at each site.

Our Mecca office: why it matters most for group travel

When something goes wrong for an individual pilgrim, one phone call resolves it. When something goes wrong for a group of 40 pilgrims, it needs someone on the ground in Makkah immediately. Our office at Hujra Street, Mecca, Saudi Arabia 24231 is staffed throughout our groups' stays. No other Bangladeshi Umrah agency has this. For group leaders, this is the most important difference between UmrahLovers and every other agency they could choose.

Your Group's Dedicated Umrah Guide and Pre-Departure Preparation

The single greatest difference between a well-organised group umrah and a poorly organised one is the quality of the guide and the preparation done before the group leaves Bangladesh. UmrahLovers takes both seriously.

    Your dedicated Bengali-speaking Umrah guide

Every UmrahLovers group umrah from Bangladesh includes one dedicated guide who stays with the group throughout the entire trip, from airport arrival in Jeddah to departure. This is the same person for the entire journey. The guide is an experienced imam who knows the Islamic history of every site on the Ziyarah, can lead the group in supplications at each location, and can answer questions about the correct method of performing Umrah rituals according to the Sunnah.

The guide is also the logistical coordinator in Saudi Arabia. If a group member becomes unwell, the guide knows which Makkah hospitals accept Bangladeshi pilgrims. If a hotel room has a problem, the guide speaks directly with the hotel manager. If someone in the group becomes separated at the Haram, the guide knows exactly where to direct them.

    Pre-departure briefing for the group

Before the group departs Bangladesh, UmrahLovers holds a pre-departure briefing session. This is usually conducted at our Banani, Dhaka office or, for groups from Chittagong, at our Khulshi, Chittagong office. For groups from Sylhet or other cities, the briefing can be done by video call.

The briefing covers: the step-by-step method for performing Umrah (Ihram, Tawaf, Sa’i, Taqsir or Halq), the supplications for each stage of the ritual, how to use the Nusuk app for Tawaf slot booking, what to expect at each stage of the journey, health and safety guidance for Makkah and Madinah, and answers to questions from group members.

    BOOKING PROCESS

How to Book a Group Umrah Package from Dhaka or Chittagong

Booking a group umrah package works differently from an individual booking. Here are the five steps, and what the group leader needs to have ready at each stage.

    Step 1

    Provide Group Information

Tell us: the total number of persons in your group (must be 10 or more), their approximate ages, whether any group members have health conditions or mobility requirements, your preferred travel dates and duration, and your preferred hotel tier. The more specific you can be, the faster we can produce an accurate quote.

    Step 2

    Receive Your Confirmed Written Quote

Within 24 hours, UmrahLovers sends the group leader a written quote showing: hotel name and distance from Masjid al-Haram for each tier, total price per person and total group price, flight details, visa processing timeline, and all inclusions and exclusions. Nothing is vague or conditional. What is in the quote is what you get.

    Step 3

    Confirm Booking and Collect Documents

Once the quote is accepted, we collect passport copies and photographs from all group members. The group leader typically collects these from members and sends them to us as a batch. We process all visas together so the entire group's travel documents are returned at the same time.

    Step 4

    Receive Pre-Departure Package

Every group member receives their visa, flight confirmation, hotel voucher, emergency contact numbers (Dhaka office and Mecca office), and a written itinerary before departure. The group leader receives a separate group management document with all members' details, room assignments, and contact numbers.

    Step 5

    Arrive, Perform Umrah, Return

Our Mecca team meets you at King Abdulaziz International Airport. Your guide stays with the group throughout. We support you until your return flight to Bangladesh departs.

    WHY CHOOSE

Why Choose UmrahLovers as Your Group Umrah Agency in Bangladesh?

A group leader choosing an umrah agency is making a decision on behalf of every person in the group. The weight of that decision is different from an individual choosing for themselves. Here is why UmrahLovers is the right choice for group umrah from Bangladesh.

We have a team physically present in Mecca, Saudi Arabia

Our office at Hujra Street, Mecca, Saudi Arabia 24231 is the most important fact about UmrahLovers for any group leader. When you are responsible for 30 people in Makkah and something needs to be handled urgently, you need someone who is already in Saudi Arabia. Not a phone call to Dhaka. Not a promise that someone will sort it out. Our Mecca team is present throughout our groups' stays, available 24 hours a day during the trip.

IATA accredited and HAAB member — verified credentials

UmrahLovers holds IATA (International Air Transport Association) accreditation and is a registered member of HAAB (Hajj Agencies Association of Bangladesh). These credentials mean your group's money is held by a verified, regulated travel agency. They are not decorations. They are the proof that we meet internationally recognised standards and Bangladesh's own regulatory requirements for Umrah agencies. Any group leader should confirm their chosen agency holds both before transferring group funds.

5.0 Google rating verified by Trustindex — Top Rated Service 2026

UmrahLovers holds a verified 5.0 Google rating confirmed as Top Rated Service 2026 by Trustindex. Across more than 1,000 pilgrim journeys, including many group bookings, our rating has never dropped below 5.0. Group leaders can read every review before they commit their community's trust to us. We welcome this scrutiny.

Founded and led by a verified expert with 15 years of direct experience

Md. Nasir Uddin Rejon, Founder and CEO of UmrahLovers, has personally performed Umrah and has spent 15 years guiding Bangladeshi Muslims through the process. He holds a Master's Degree in Management from Government Titumir College, University of Dhaka and a Professional Certification in Travel and Tourism from NHTTI under Bangladesh Parjatan Corporation. He has attended 20 or more international tourism fairs including ITB Berlin and Arabian Travel Market. When you speak to UmrahLovers, you are ultimately speaking to someone who has led pilgrims from Bangladesh to Makkah many hundreds of times.

Transparent group pricing in writing before payment

Every group quote from UmrahLovers is sent in writing and includes every cost, every inclusion, and every exclusion. Group leaders should be cautious of any agency that gives verbal quotes, changes prices after a deposit is paid, or cannot produce a written itinerary with named hotel and confirmed distance from Masjid al-Haram. We have never changed a price after issuing a written quote.

What Group Leaders Say About UmrahLovers

“I organised a group umrah for 34 members of our mosque in Mirpur, Dhaka. I was responsible for 34 people and I was anxious about it. UmrahLovers handled every single detail. The visas came back together in two days. The guide was with us from the moment we landed in Jeddah until we departed from Madinah. When one of our elderly members needed medical attention in Makkah at 11pm, the Mecca office had a doctor at the hotel within 45 minutes.”

“Our madrasa arranged an Umrah trip for 22 students and teachers. UmrahLovers assigned us a guide who was a qualified imam himself and his knowledge of the Islamic history at each Ziyarah site was excellent. The students learned more in those 10 days than in months of classroom teaching about the same places. The hotel was 200 metres from Masjid al-Haram which meant we could attend every prayer in the first rows. Alhamdulillah.”

“We organised a family umrah for 18 members of our family, three generations, including my parents aged 75 and 78. I was worried about managing everyone. Nasir bhai at UmrahLovers understood this immediately. He recommended the Deluxe tier hotel so my parents would not have to walk far to the Haram. The guide made sure my parents were always assisted during Tawaf. We performed every prayer in Masjid al-Haram as a family.”
